Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, Xbox 360 – £3.99 delivered
Preowned
Cheers strokeybacon.
Playswap, the online game trading service previously known as Goozex, disappeared inexplicably from the internet a while back. They’ve always been pretty incompetent, so I wasn’t surprised that they didn’t bother to email any of their customers to tell them what was going on. Pretty bad considering people might have had a lot invested in the service.
Well they’re back now, and word on the street (twitter) is that if you email them at info@playswap.eu, with the subject “700 bonus points” and your username in the body, they’ll give you 700 free points.
Now lets see if they can sort out the, frankly, broken since day one points economy, and get a decent range of games actually available.
I’d recommend being very cautious before investing a lot in the service.
Cheers doboworth for the heads up.
Fallout: New Vegas, PC – £17.45 delivered
Registers on Steam.
Now, this one is particularly sneaky, and I’m only ~90% sure it will work. You might best off waiting til tomorrow (Thursday) to order it.
Here’s what you need to do:
1. Go grab yourself a 10% off code for Zavvi.
2. Add both New Vegas and Fallout 3 [Goatee Edition] to your basket. You’ll notice that Fallout 3 is actually currently out of stock, but you still get the £5 off New Vegas for ordering Fallout 3 at the same time.
3. Apply the coupon you got in stage one. The subtotal for New Vegas should now be £17.45.
4. Wait patiently until they have shipped New Vegas, then cancel Fallout 3.
As I said, I am only ~90% sure it will work, but based on previous Zavvi behaviour for handling cancelled items in multibuy discounts, you should get the New Vegas for £17.45. If not, you can easily return it for a full refund of whatever they do charge you.
Alternatively:
You can get £13 trade in for Fallout 3 [Goatee Edition] at Gamestation via CEX pricematch. The price for both is £29.10, so trading in Fallout 3 [Goatee Edition] makes the price of New Vegas effectively £16.20.
Stranglehold, PC – 7p collect in store.
Appears to be a bit of stock too, although not all stores have it.
Disciples II [Gold], PC – £3.99
Includes (and individual pricing):
Disciples II: Rise of the Elves, PC – £2.49
Disciples II: Gallean’s Return, PC – £2.49
Disciples III: Renaissance, PC – £14.99
StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty [Collector’s Edition], PC/Mac – £46.05 delivered
Apply coupon “B4U”.
LEGO Rock Band, Xbox 360 – £9.99 delivered
If you just want the songs, you can pay the 800 MS points to transfer them to your hard drive, and then trade it in to Gamestation for £11 via CEX pricematch.
Mass Effect 2, Xbox 360 ~ £2.64 delivered
Only roughly that price, because you’ll also be charged a conversion fee.
Today only.
Edit: Shortly after I posted it, their site went down. I can confirm I was able to order it successfully, as have a few other people, so I suggest just keep trying.
Edit2: Show’s over folks. Looks like it sold out.

Warning: It comes as one big 7.5gb download, not individual downloads for each game.
Cheers to Patrick for reminding me to post this.
It was already a fantastic deal at 1,200 points, but Team Meat have just announced that at launch, for a limited time, Super Meat Boy will be just 800 MS Points.
That moves it from a “you should buy it”, to “YOU SHOULD BUY IT NOW”.
This is in addition to the 800 free points when you spend 2,400 offer.
I realised that I mentioned this in the Super Meat Boy review, but haven’t actually given it’s own post.
Microsoft are giving you 800 points back if you spend 2,400 in the month of October.
Used in conjunction with this offer, that’s potentially 5,000 MS points (RRP of £42.83) for £25.98
Settlers 7 [Collectors Edition], PC – £9.97 delivered
Includes:
16 cm Constructor figurine
A2 poster
Some in game tat
Partial soundtrack
Warning: Uses horrible UbiDRM. Requires constant internet connection, and if Ubisoft’s servers ever go down, you will not be able to play your game.
Super Meat Boy, XBLA – 1,200 MS Points (800 MS Points at release, til November)
4,200 MS points – £25.98 delivered
Spend 2,400 points in October, and get 800 points back.
Review by Lewie Procter

Every single time I died in Super Meat Boy, it was my fault.
That’s not strictly true, there is one boss that bucks the trend, but every other death in Super Meat Boy was entirely my fault. I misjudged the jump, I ran into the spinning death saw, I fell into the lava pit and I got impaled on the spikes. 4,260 deaths I’m up to now, and I’m only part way into the post game, there’s plenty of marrow to suck from this game yet. With all those failed attempts, it’s a bloody good job that Team Meat have stitched some kind of amnesia educing witchcraft into the fabric of the game. My overriding memory is that one time I beat that one difficult level, not the thousands of other times I didn’t make it. I kick ass at Super Meat Boy. I kick ass at video games. Nothing can stop me.
