It’ll charge you £7.99 if you’re logged into a UK account, so make sure you double-check the confirmation screen. Even though it’s free, if you don’t have a payment method on file, you may have to do it through the console rather than your web browser.

It’s also free on the Xbox One, but after a day it’ll lock itself and you’ll have to pay, whereas the Xbox 360 version, if you grab it today, will continue to be playable.

This is the previously-released HD Collection (MGS2, MGS3 (with the MSX games) and Peace Walker), with an additional digital copy of Metal Gear Solid 1 and the VR missions, and an extra disc containing MGS4. It’s a US copy without the art book, so you’ll need a US account to download the digital games, but the games will work on any region console or account.

Hello everyone! You might have noticed a drop in deals over the last few days. Sorry about that.

Lewie is off gallivanting around the world right now, with a trusty laptop for company to make sure he can keep all his plates spinning while he’s doing so. Unfortunately, said laptop has turned out not to be so trusty and is currently in need of repair. While he’s done a great job of keeping the deals coming on his break until now, as you might imagine, this is a bit of a roadblock.

Lewie will be back in the UK next month, at which point normal service should begin to pick up due to having access to computers and such. In the mean time, the B Team will be filling in the gaps as best as we can. We might not be able to grab you a deal quite as quick as Lew but what we lack in alacrity we make up for in spirit of heart, or something.

The L4D2 Cold Stream DLC was finally released today on Xbox 360, but it looks like it’s been mistakenly uploaded for free. It should be 560 MSP, but currently, you can load the game and download it from the main menu for nothing – just like the PC version.

It’s not yet listed on the marketplace, but if you have the game handy and can load it up, do it sooner rather than later – it’s likely that this mistake will be corrected sharpish, ~~but if you trigger the download before it is, you’ll have the content tied to your account permanently.~~

EDIT: It appears that currently, whatever bug is making this appear as free is also preventing the download from completing, and it isn’t currently displaying in the download history, so won’t work after all. Worth a shot though.

Haunt, Xbox 360 – Free

Microsoft US are running a promotion until July 2nd that allows you to get Haunt as a free download.

To claim it, you’ll need to access the Kinect Central hub on the dashboard from a US account (a free Silver account works fine). The hub will only show up if you have a Kinect attached to your console.

More details here. They also mention that more games might be coming in future, so if you don’t have a US account already it might be worth setting one up.
