Nintendo Wii U [Premium Pack], Mario Kart 8 & Another Game – £125

Nintendo Wii U [Premium Pack], Mario Kart 8 & Another Game – £125 collect in store.

Bit of a convoluted one this, but worth it for the price.

Mightydeals will currently sell you a £10 Curry’s gift voucher for £5 here. These are one per Mightydeals account, but if you create multiple Mightydeals accounts, you can purchase many gift cards. I’ve sent you to the mobile site, because that’s the only way to use paypal for payments, and any other payment method they appear to be blocking after you’ve used the same card a certain number of times.

You can use multiple gift cards in one transaction, essentially meaning you can get anything that Curry’s sell for half price. I have confirmed this myself.

It takes 24 hours for Mightydeals to send you your gift voucher, and although the instructions say you need to print it out, just displaying the gift card number on your phone will suffice.

I have no idea if/when Mightydeals will run out of gift vouchers, and whilst the Curry’s I used had no problem stacking multiple gift cards, I guess it’s possible your branch might.

An Wii U costs £249.99 at Currys, so you need 25 gift cards, at a total cost of £125.

Once you register your copy of Mario Kart on the Club Nintendo, you’ll be offered a free download of any one of these games:
Game & Wario,
Mario & Sonic at the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games,
Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate,
New Super Mario Bros. U,
Nintendo Land,
Pikmin 3,
Sonic Lost World,
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD,
The Wonderful 101 &
Wii Party U.

These vouchers can only be used in store, so it’s probably worth confirming that your local store(s) have stock before purchasing the gift cards.

You can participate in this promotion multiple times if you create a dummy Club Nintendo account for each copy of Mario Kart you are registering, it’s worth considering buying multiple copies of this just to get all the ‘free’ games you want. You can probably flog spare copies of Mario Kart 8 for around £30 after you’ve nabbed the free game, and you can trade them back to GAME for £33 at today’s prices via cex pricematch.

The process is as follows:
1. Register the serial code bundled with Mario Kart 8 on a Club Nintendo account.
2. Select which of the free games you’d like a download for.
3. Receive an eShop code for your chosen game. This code is not tied to any specific account.
4. Enter the code you received onto the Wii U eShop to get your free game.

You have to the end of the month to complete this promotion.

If you have a Premium Wii U, these downloads will also contribute to your premium reward credit, with each title netting you just short of £5 eShop credit.

Bayonetta & Bayonetta 2, Wii U – £39.85

Bayonetta & Bayonetta 2, Wii U – £39.85 delivered

Bit of an odd one this.

There’s been a heck of a lot of confusion surrounding what should be a pretty simple promotion. Because Nintendo.

It was announced at E3 that Bayonetta 2 would come with a “free copy” of Bayonetta, however this offer was specifically from Nintendo of America, with Nintendo of Europe handling the promotion for our region. NoE kept quiet for a little while, then announced that in the UK, the free copy of Bayonetta would only come with the Special Edition of the game.

It’s not clear if this is going to be a Special Edition in the sense that it costs extra, or if it’s just limited in numbers/availability.

Currently Amazon are advertising the standard edition of Bayonetta 2 with a store description that states it includes with free copy of Bayonetta.

Typically Amazon will honour the store description where possible, so in the event that the Special Edition costs extra, it’s entirely feasible that Amazon will upgrade your order at no extra charge.

If you’re particularly keen to get Bayonetta 2 with the free copy of the first game, it’s my advice to place an order with Amazon now, sit on the preorder until closer to release when all the confusion has been resolved, and no matter what you can always cancel that order before release should you opt to buy it from elsewhere.

It’s currently about a quid cheaper here, with the same promise that it includes the first game, but I have no idea what Base will do in the event of the promotion getting a bit messy.

Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate, New Super Mario Bros. U, Nintendo Land, Pikmin 3, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD & The Wonderful 101, Wii U + £33 GAME store credit – £75

Bit of a convoluted one this, so bear with me.

As part of the Mario Kart 8 free game promotion, when you buy Mario Kart 8 for the Wii U, you get a free download from a selection of games.

This promotion is not limited to once per console, only once per Club Nintendo account. The process is the following:

1. Register the serial code bundled with Mario Kart 8 on your Club Nintendo account.
2. Select which of the free games you’d like a download for.
3. Receive an eShop code for your chosen game. This code is not tied to any specific account.
4. Enter the code you received onto the eShop to get your free game.

You can only activate any given game once on your Club Nintendo account, but since it is relatively trivial to create a dummy Club Nintendo account, it’s simple enough to participate in this promotion multiple times.

GAME are currently selling Mario Kart 8 for £40 in store. GAME will currently (via CEX pricematch) give you £33 store credit for a trade in of Mario Kart 8.

If you buy a new copy of Mario Kart 8 from GAME, take the Club Nintendo serial out, then trade it back in, you will have spent £40, and received £33 store credit, and the means to get one game. By simply creating a dummy Club Nintendo account to register each copy of Mario Kart 8 on, you’ll be able to get multiple free eShop codes.

Your initial outlay is £40 to get an initial copy of Mario Kart, and then an additional £7 for each subsequent copy. You’ll also end up with £33 GAME credit to spend however you wish at the end, or you could decide to keep hold of the final copy of Mario Kart 8 instead.

There are more games than just these six included in the promotion, I just figured these are the best ones.
