  1. Probably worth pointing out that the website is actually operated by The Hut… and we know how much Savygamers love those guys!!

Yeah, speedy delivery is not their thing.
Also, I can’t find anything on whether WHSmith ships outside the UK or not, just that they ship for free within the UK.

Nice price i must say. But since i don’t have any experience with the hut i must ask. Are the always slow at sending. Or is this random and what are we talking about 1 to 2 days delay or a week to two ?

My experiences from the Netherlands with zavvi and thehut:

-Quite a few of my orders took their time, as in 2 to 3 weeks.

-I once bought 2 copies of a game from them, one for me and one for a friend. I got 1, and they said they were waiting for resupply for the second one. It took a bit of badgering to get them to realize there was no resupply coming and cancel that part of the order (I couldn’t, myself). Took about 2 months.

-zavvi.nl is incompetently put together, with sorting by price happening per page, somehow. For example: page 1 has items ascending from €5 to €99, page 2 from €3 to €60, etc. I’ve reported this to them months ago and they acknowledged it, but they haven’t fixed it. They also bungle some of their email template parsing.

-Still, they’re usually cheap and eventually get there.

I have had generally positive experiences with the hut with stuff coming in just a few days though some of the business practices as noted here have been a bit dodgy

Ah, sorry gang. Didn’t realise they were operated by The Hut! Still, it’s a much better price than anywhere else, and you can always cancel if it turns up this cheap at a more reputable retailer…

Sorry folks, I’m not quite as au fait with The Hut’s spidery tentacled grasp of the market as Lewie is. I’ll pop the standard disclaimer in the post.

Does anyone know if this will register on steam? Im sure they said that Deus Ex would be steamworks enabled so Im hoping it will…..

    • Will Templeton #

Yeah, by all accounts it should do.

Hmmm…chances of this arriving on release day? Anyone?

    • Duder #

I’d wager on “slim” if you’re outside the UK (and maybe even inside). But who knows, they might surprise you!
