Apparently you have to install it to keep it… If you don’t it will disappear from you library! Now, it doesn’t say whether you need to install the multi-player or single player component… So I installed both just to be sure! Be warned though, it’s a 30GB install!!!
Absolutely worth taking the time to pick up a copy, particularly if you missed the Tripwire Humble Weekly Sale last April.
All that’s needed is to click the green “Install Game” button – once you are prompted to download you’ve already attached it to your Steam account and may download at your leisure. In your “Account Details” page (accessed by clicking your username in the upper-right corner of the main Steam window) it’s listed as “Red Orchestra 2: Free Day”. Once it appears there, it’s yours to keep.
Pre-ordered this at full price in 2011, and very pleased Tripwire are offering everyone a chance to play it gratis.
Just to say this is only for today, 23rd April 2014, if you install it today it’s free forever (added to your library).
