Tip: I went to the US version of the link, where the game currently costs 20$, rather than 20€ or 17 pounds. When I clicked on “Buy”, I had to login on battle.net and was then forwarded to the EU page with the price of 20€.
However, when I chose “Gift” on the US page instead, I _didn’t_ get forwarded to the EU version, but was instead able to buy the game for 20$ = 12.3 pounds (plus exchange rate) = 14.75€.
Note: If you buy via Gift, you get sent a CD key and can activate it on your own account, similar to how Steam does things.
So you can get the game ~5 pounds cheaper than you thought.
The link goes to WOL, though both are discounted anyway, here is HOTS : https://eu.battle.net/shop/en/product/starcraft-ii-heart-of-the-swarm
