I don’t have any experience with simply cd keys. How trustworthy are they? How legal?

I never post anyone to SavyGamer if I’m unsure of their trustworthiness (or include a disclaimer if I do).

Used them myself a few times without any issues, and not heard of anyone else ever having any trouble.

From a legal point of view they are a little murky.

They’re trading off the back of Simplygames because they’re obviously owned by them but they’ve removed all contact details from that site and they’re taking payments separate from Simplygames. From what I’ve read they’re operating out of the United Arab Emirates and used to have a Maltese address for contact, which has now vanished.

Their prices don’t state they are inclusive of VAT so the off-shore theory regarding UAE is likely correct.

The domain doesn’t have any details :-

So although they’re operating off the good name and good will of Simplygames, and are obviously owned by them, they are probably a side company making use of some tax avoidance scheme.

If you’re happy to order from Amazon, drink at Starbucks and make use of the many other companies abusing tax loopholes then no problem, if you’re in to ethics and avoid companies such as those then you may wish to give them a wide birth.

I’m sure if anything went wrong they will look after you, but people should be aware that Simplygames directly would not be liable to you as you’re buying from Simplycdkeys aka Gameload Limited (SimplyCDKeys) even though they’ve conveniently merged the two sites seamlessly such as you don’t even notice you’ve moved from one site to another unless you bothered to look.

    Murky indeed.
