See, explicitly opening an English-language site with https://store.eu.square-enix.com/?lang=en redirects me to a site in French. This is so bad I must have missed the part that lets me access a site in English even from a French IP.
Anyways, I’ll ask at the Bargain Bucket and maybe I’ll have more luck there. Thanks for the good work!
It isn’t strictly UK only, I have the same offer here in Sweden and the currency of the offer is Euros (€1.12) so I guess it probably isn’t just the UK and Sweden, since Sweden isn’t in the Eurozone, thank god.
Oh and, adonf, if you have need for a UK IP then I recommend TunnelBear. Just watch out since circumventing their IP blocks is a little naught so you might wind up getting your account blocked. Personally, I think I’m going to wait a bit longer and pay a little more to pick it up in a sale at GOG.
Not just the deal. The whole site seems to be UK-only, despite being called “store.eu” and it’s a shame because they’ve had quite a few interesting deals in the last weeks.
I guess the game is not on the French site because it’s not localized in French. It makes it even more upsetting that they IP-block the international site. Stupid publishers…
