I think it’s worth noting for people new to PS3… like me! You can grab just about any 2.5″ SATA Hard Drive to replace the one currently in your PS3… there’s not much difference between PS3 consoles other than their HDD size, so if you’re looking for a bargain, grab one with a small HDD, get on eBay and scout out a reputably branded HDD (I paid just under £30 for 250GB) and changing the HDD is super super easy, you just need to undo a screw, take the old one out, click the new one in.
Also worth mentioning that the 12GB PS3 Super Slim requires a separate mounting bracket for a HDD. So if you’re thinking of buying one and plan on installing a new HDD, making sure you buy a bracket to go with it.
