That was originally the plan, but Gearbox have since said that they have decided to also include the international version with Russian serials.

And what about the Borderlands 2 season pass they are selling? Will it be in english to. able to play with english players?

I can confirm this works! Just took the risk.
Tips:
– Make sure you use Chrome so you can ‘auto-translate’ the pages and work out what the hell is going on!
– Log back into your account at http://yuplay.ru and find your key…took me a while to work this out! You can then activate this on Steam!
Do you have one or two (RU and International) copies BL2 tied to the account?

Oh and I had to restart steam to start the download also!
Something is wrong, can’t add link to the official forum. They said: if U buy in Russia, u get two copies (ru + int) and u can decide what version do u install.

Ah I see what you mean! Yes I had Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 2 RU in my steam library but I just installed the normal Borderlands 2 one and ignored the RU one.
I’ll let you know if it runs OK after its downloaded!

Have to commend Jimmy for his suggestion to use Chrome, made translation and understanding the page much easier.
As he said when the payment finishes it doesn’t auto-return you to the yuplay page, so go back there manually, click ‘my purchases’ or ‘Мои покупки’ as it seems to show up, and your Borderlands 2 key is in there.
When I registered it, it had two tick boxes, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands 2 RU, so just untick the RU one and off you go.

I’m always wondering with those sites if steam will just ban my key or account one day for using a russian or even stolen key.
YuPlay is NOT a keyshop. It’s full legal store associated with 1C (1c.yuplay.com). But of course, games bought in this shop MAY be limited regionally.
The keys aren’t stolen. But games are very cheap to buy in Russia. Hence you get places like this which buy them in huge bulk and then sell them on.
Of course this is against the steam license agreement, there was one guy in russia who work as an illegal reseller for steam, People would go to him asking for the lastest £40 title, which he could buy for £10, but he’d ask for £15 so he got a bit of profit (which was still a bargain to the end user). Whilst I don’t believe steam banned him, they did ban him from trading/gifting.
It looks that they also have the Borderlands 2 Season Pass for Steam for only 6.95 GBP ( 8.67 €)

DON’T buy SP if you don’t have BL2 from Russia! AFAIK this won’t work! Of course, BL2 Bundle (ru + int) from russian store will work with this SP.
Yep, works a treat, you don’t need to use Google translate, just select English from the sites top regional selector!
When you have your code, as described go back to website and click my games, put key into steam, don’t be scared when it initially says Broderlands 2 RU, just click next and then you get the two options for the standard English version simply called Borderlands 2 and if you fancy brushing up on your Russian then by all means install the second option of Borderlands 2 RU, LOL.
