SimCity [Limited Edition] & £40 Origin Credit, PC – £44.99
SimCity [Limited Edition] & £40 Origin Credit, PC – £44.99
The deal here is that EA are charging £44.99 for SimCity, but if you preorder it you get £40 total off your next five orders.
The terms and conditions say “Value of the voucher will appear as five coupon codes of £10 in your cart at the moment of purchase”, which is presumably erroneous since that would be £50. You actually get 5 x £8 vouchers, so you can’t use it all in one go, but instead you have to make five total transactions (after SimCity) to use the total £40 credit.
As I mentioned on Twitter this is 5 x £8 vouchers, so it’s not like getting a free game afterwards.
This barely a deal, to be honest. And EA are scumbags. I would move that this should be removed since Origin is basically spyware.
Limited edition has less stuff and £20 cheaper than the regular game.
They do know its supposed to be the other way round, right?
Jeez, £65 for a game, N64 days anyone?
“…if you preorder it you get £40 of your next order”
You should change that bit – it’s £8 off (each of) your next 5 orders. And Origin is usually overpriced by at least that much anyway.
Yeah, I’ve changed it.
