Cheers Ian for the tip off.
I’m not sure whether this will register on Steam or not. Usually this is a Steamworks games, but games from GOG are always DRM free. Let me know if you decide to but it.

I bought it. I personally like to support GOG as a vendor for selling DRM free games, and I heard Alan Wake on PC was amazing. Plus, it’s under a tenner 😉
So I assume they’re just giving you a DRM free installer like the rest of their games, but is there any serial that could (optionally) register on Steam too?
Doesn’t appear so. Can someone who bought it confirm?
Just installed it and no Steam key. It appears to be a special version of the game – the version number ends with “gog.com”.
Confirming, no serial whatsoever. I think this is the first time the game has been sold without any way to register it on Steam.
Wow… there’s a title I didn’t expect to see on GoG for such a low price. Awesome, very awesome indeed. I’m a little tempted to get it at this price.
Amazon.com will have the Steam version of the game at the same price (said same deal, but I assume it will be the same price) next week as a part of their “Mayhem”. For anyone wanting the Steam version.
Awesome game and port, nice to see it go DRM free, but the lack of soundtrack is baffling. Also worth pointing out that Alan Wake’s American Nightmare is available for pre-purchase on steam at 25% off
It seems to be 10% off, or 25% if you have the first game.
The first game is also on sale on steam.
Pinky, are you thinking what I’m thinking?
Oh, and GOG has it ready for pre-order at the same price now.
Exact same deal.
So GOG wins on price.
Its basically Achievements vs DRM Free
(DRM-Free wins for me personally! :D)
doesnt include steam key drm free installer only
also american nightmare preorder drm free 11,24 usd if also buy /already own AW on gog
