Rayman Unleashed, PC – £14.99 delivered

Zavvi is operated by The Hut, and they have a pretty bad track record for customer service. But they’re also cheap.

It’s Rayman Origins, not Rayman Unleashed =)

It is not funny or witty to replace the actual subtitle with Unleashed. FFS, are you trying to trick people to click through?

These games do have stupid generic names but it doesn’t help if you add another made-up generic name to the pile!

Oh come on, we are just people, everybody makes mistakes, no need to be rude. I bet he will fix the name ASAP.

      • It’s not a mistake, it’s an ongoing joke poking fun at the rather stale world of game naming conventions. It’s a little nod towards the more regular/seasoned visitors. Unfortunately, to the uninitiated, it looks as though a mistake has been made…

It’s Lewie (with the input of Will and Tony) that are running the service so I guess he gets to control the inside jokes. I see no point in complaining about it; embrace it. Every site has ongoing jokes/puns/deliberate mistakes that mainly serve to cement a community rather than divide it. Unfortunately, savygamer is more of a ‘check-in and leave’ service rather than a ‘stay and have a chat’ one. On the plus side, it’s free from clutter and provides the raw details of deals about the net. Can’t fault it in that respect…

          Personally I find it funny.

Anyway, it’s £20 on steam but that comes with Rayman 2 to play now. Take your choice, peeps!

Yeah, and if you say something about it, prepare to get your comment deleted >:(

N’ah, I’ve been reading them all. Mccy_McFlinn is my favourite.

I understand what you’re doing, and for the most part, it’s funny. It can be really annoying, and renders the search function useless for certain titles. I’m all for poking fun at marketers with poor creativity, but it shouldn’t come at the expense of functionality of the website.

I think it is funny. Keep it up chaps!

Also, if searching for Rayman Origins yields nothing, I am sure you could work out to search for Rayman. I do not remember anyone complaining when CODBLOPS was listed…

Yes, I am wrong, this IS funny. Such witty commentary that says so much about the games industry and life! Oscar Wilde would be proud.

Jesus, it’s a freaking free site, don’t be so god damn aggresive. Moreover, if you really are put in difficulty by the jokes, you can always click the damned thing, it only takes a second.

          In addition, what about AssBro?

    • Taco #

Things like CODBLOPS is alright, because those are for individual titles, and the meaning is still obvious. With other titles, there is no knowing what the title has been changed to, like the one for Resident Evil: Revelations. I don’t remember what they changed it to, and with so many deals on resident evil games, searching is going to be much more of a hassle than it needs to be. Being funny is one thing, but sacrificing functionality is another.

I’m all for a joke, and for sticking it to sub-par marketers, but this isn’t the way to do it.
