Does anyone know if PC World Downloads works with Irish addresses/credit cards?
Cheers,
P.
Or, you could get it cheaper from amazon.com, just enter fake Us address -> http://www.amazon.com/THQ-40690-Armageddon1-Armageddon-Download/dp/B0052YFO2S/ref=sr_1_1_title_0?s=videogames-download&ie=UTF8&qid=1330345037&sr=1-1
For anyone too lazy, it costs $4.99 ~£3,14 on amazon and registers on Steam too.
Looks like PC World version has gone up to £4.99
Wait ignore that, just saw the coupon…
It keeps telling me that I’m not old enough to buy it due to censors put on by the british film board. It does no matter how old I put my age as, even if I say I’m 70 it still says it. any ideas?
I’m 18 btw so should be able to anyway
its to do with 192, its a bit of a shit system but basically its an age verification system and has pulls data from electoral registers (i think). I had the same issues as I had recently moved house I emailed them and they got it sorted.
I hit this age-restriction problem with some amusement, being ineligible to ever have a 40th birthday again. It wasn’t so funny when I found that typing in my name in the same format as on 192.com didn’t bypass the problem. I’d raised a support ticket with PCWorld but they basically told me they could / would do nothing and closed the ticket.
So, I can’t buy from them, ever.
I’ll wait for the next Steam sale, it will be a couple of quid in the Summer I’m sure.
Do you people read the comments at all? I posted a link with pretty much no hassle and cheaper and you faff about the restrictions.
