Morrisons 97p Game Clearance

I’ve heard a report that supermarket Morrisons is clearing out a lot of their old Videogame stock for 97p each. Examples include Portal 2, AssBro, Red Dead Redemption, Dead Space 2.

I’ve not been able to confirm this myself, so don’t make a special trip if you’re going to be hugely disappointed when there’s nothing available. It might not be going on in all stores, and stock will be sporadic I imagine.

If you are able to confirm or deny this clearance, please let me know.

Update: This is now confirmed to be going on. Games that are on clearance:
Portal 2,
AssBro,
Red Dead Redemption,
Dead Space 2,
Splinter Cell: Conviction,
Michael Jackson Experience,

There may be more though.

  1. I suspect that they’ll all be gone by the time I get off work and manage to find my way to a store….it’s the PCWorld sale all over again.

    Nevermind

If you live in Stoke just a heads up, they’re all sold out at every store. I even rang one of them up and asked, they said yeah we have like twenty, but when i went in store and asked again the guy said they’d sold out at 8:45 this morning. Wasted journeys FTW.

Just at the Warrington store now – no sign of any discounts 🙁 Might have Dungeon Siege III for a tenner, mind.

Went by my local Morrisons just now and there wasn’t much in the clearance bin. The only notable things in there for 97p was Metroid: Other M, PES 2011 and Brink. Rest was shovelware, a lot of which was £5 or £7.

Mad World on Wii is 98p

Nothing at all for 97p at my local Morrisons. Cheapest game they had was the Michael Jackson Experience for £7. Think I’ll give that one a miss…

I picked up Thor and WRC FIA World Rally Championship on PS3. They also had Madworld for Wii.

My local also had MadWorld for 98p, but that was all that was marked up for that cheap. SplinterCell Conviction went thru the till at a tenner (as marked), so didn’t bother with that or any others…

Michael Jackson Experience? Isn’t he dead? So that would be like a blank screen or something?

this is just a rumour, I called Morrisons to check, 6 times.

Bradford Morrisons had most of those games although none of them were 97p

Both Horsforth and Kirkstall Morrisons don’t have any in stock if you live in the Leeds area – a damn shame!

They did have Space Marine for £12, Brink for £7 and Dungeon Siege III for £10, though!
