God, more DRM scaremongering. The only people that ever have problems with certain DRM methods are those that don’t keep their systems clean or update drivers. They then moan on forums about DRM causing problems when 99% of people don’t have that problem because it wasn’t the DRM’s fault, just a conflict arising out of a poorly maintained and bloated system.
“it’s known to cause instabilities depending on the drivers you have installed.”
I’ve never once had any trouble from any ‘problem’ DRM. Wouldn’t be surprised if these rumours are spread by pirates in the first place.
I’m inclined to agree with our Argentinian friend above. I have never had any problems with DRM, even with keeping my PC clean and up-to-date with the latest drivers.
I bought Dark Athena off ebay some time ago and didn’t have any issues with installing the game whatsoever!
Well after being fucked over with StarForce on TM Sunrise which made me have to completely rebuild my machine, Im not willing to take the gamble. When there are so many amazing games to play on PC I have no qualms missing out on the odd game because of DRM i dont agree with.
Just as a warning the game uses TAGES for DRM, it’s known to cause instabilities depending on the drivers you have installed.
Shame, would have definitely picked it up if it wasnt for the DRM. I have to wonder why they bother with this drm this late into a games life.

Search for “why is tages drm bad” on google
TAGES is broken software regardless how you look at it. My issue that yes it’s god damn unstable and known to cause problems.
If you didn’t have any problem with TAGES, GOOD FOR YOU, other people however did have problems so it’s not like they don’t exist.
Personally I didn’t have any issues so far with SecuROM but again dosen’t mean others havent.
