The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, PC – £11.40

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, PC – £11.40

Registers on Steam.

These guys are (I believe) reselling retail serials. It is against Steam T&Cs, but I’ve never heard of anyone running into any trouble. It’s up to you if you think the risk is worth it.

Cheers StuAA for the tip off.

That is so tempting, but I’m not going to risk my steam account!

Yeah, me neither. I’m sure it will be cheap on retail soon, so I’m just going to wait for that. Retail is DRM-free now, right?

Unless I’m mistaken, the disc version will still require the DRM to install, but patching it will remove the DRM, so effectively it’s DRM free.

No doubt the retail version will be in this price range soon enough. I’ll keep an eye out.

This was actually a little cheaper just a few days ago, and I´ll bet it´ll be cheaper again. It is €15.99 now, but it was €12.99 before.
I haven´t actually heard/read anywhere that anybody`s account has been disabled because of using a key from them, only that sometimes keys would not register. I have not purchased any games from them, but I know people personally who never had problems.
Then again one could make a different account for games purchased from g2play. I guess it just depends on how much you want the game 🙂

An example of problems is Blood Bowl. Cyanide blacklisted the cd-keys from g2play, some time ago.

Oh, there was that, but I seem to recall they sorted everyone out with refunds in the end.

The Witcher 2 from them is the Russian version. It registered fine on Steam here (DE), however I haven’t installed it yet to see if it actually works.

It’s 40% off on GOG.com at the mo $30, definitely the best DD version IMO.

Do NOT use G2Play. I bought two Windows 7 keys from them which Microsoft later voided because they were from a stolen batch of keys. G2Play didn’t refund me or respond it queries. Total bunch of scammers, avoid at all costs.

They are fine, I bought Steam keys from them before, it worked perfectly.
