Battlefield 3 [Limited Edition]/Dark Souls [Special Edition]/Ace Combat: Assault Horizon [Limited Edition]/Call Of Juarez: The Cartel/Driver: San Francisco, Xbox 360/PS3 – 2 for £48.69
Battlefield 3 [Limited Edition]/Dark Souls [Special Edition]/Ace Combat: Assault Horizon [Limited Edition]/Call Of Juarez: The Cartel/Driver: San Francisco, Xbox 360/PS3 – 2 for £48.69 delivered
This is a bit of a complicated one, bear with me, but the result is (hopefully) getting any two games from that list for a total of £48.69 (or £24.35 each).
Zavvi are running a promotion where if you buy a selected item of clothing for £17.99, you can get any of those games for £17.85. That’s £35.84 for game and an item of clothing, not a bad deal, but we can do better than that. The terms & condition state that you need to buy one of each item to get this pricing, but actually just buying one item of clothing lets you buy any two of the games.
So, pick an item of clothing from here, and add any two of these to your basket:
Battlefield 3 [Limited Edition], Xbox 360/PS3
Dark Souls [Special Edition], Xbox 360/PS3
Ace Combat: Assault Horizon [Limited Edition], Xbox 360/PS3
Call Of Juarez: The Cartel, Xbox 360/PS3
Driver: San Francisco, Xbox 360/PS3
That should come to a total of £53.69. Then apply coupon “VCFIVEOFF50” to get another fiver off.
Whilst this obviously is a mistake, since the item of clothing ships immediately I’m not sure there is much they will be able to do about it. They’ll likely charge you immediately, at least for the item of clothing, so they probably won’t be able to squirm out of fulfilling the entire order.
If you don’t like the sound of a potential bit of hassle just for a saving of ~£10-15, then I’d say avoid this offer. It might end up being more trouble than it is worth, but it’s certainly good pricing.
Usual The Hut group caveat applies. Their track record for customer service isn’t very good, but this is cheap.
Too bad all the cloths are shite
This worked. I’ll give the crappy t-shirt to my brother and keep the 2 games for myself. Lets hope they honor this deal since I’ve paid with PayPal. Thanks for posting it 🙂
The offer depends on Battlefield 3. You remove it from the shopping basket, you lose the additional 20 quid discount.
This is true. 🙁
Battlefield 3 is usually £37.85 whereas the others are £36.85. There’s a separate discount for the two different prices which seems to be causing the loophole. When I tried it with Driver and Dark Souls only the one discount was applied.
Clicked on link for the clothing and the page says it doesn’t exist anymore. Anyone else confirm this?
You’re right. I think this deal may be dead already. I got lucky and got Battlefield 3 [Limited Edition] and Dark Souls [Special Edition].
Same is happening for me, now. Also, the discounts are no longer applied in the checkout. Looks like this offer is over.
Dark Souls + BF3 ordered, thanks for the advice!
I ordered last night, but the clothes came up with a dispatch date of the 30th which was immediately ominous. Checking tonight they’ve cancelled the order having clearly caught on, and in their usual spectacular customer service way they haven’t actually bothered to tell me about doing so directly.
The same happened to me. Do you know where do I have to put a formal complain?
I am quite sure they are breaking the law canceling our orders partially.
