How so? I played through it on the 360, then got it again for the PC, hoping it’d be radically improved. Not really, but the original was only mediocre, not it-killed-my-dog bad like you seem to be implying.
Or did I just miss some PR holocaust?
I picked it up when it was on sale on XBLA. It felt like a bit of a B movie, so I found myself enjoying it because of its flaws. It did feature probably the worst attempt at a Scottish accent that I’ve heard, although they apparently replaced that in this version.
I’m tempted to pick it up on Steam while it’s cheap just to see where they decided to end it. It looked like they were going for several episodes, but instead decided to re-releasing it several times instead following the whole thing with the press. Wouldn’t bother at full price though.
I played it without knowing anything of its past (or that the PC version had received a might boost) and I was thoroughly unimpressed. I played to the end waiting for it to get going but it just dribbled away. I’d struggle to recommend it to anyone.
I don’t understand the hostility to this game, its looks great, sometimes spectacular, especially the water effects, gameplay is ok, though combat is patchy, not bad for a small studio…
Still don’t know if this is worth it
Yeah, I’m certainly not inclined to give them any of my money. Considered not posting it actually.

PR holocaust indeed.

Yeah, I saw that. Throughly idiotic behaviour, not to mention whiny. Would never buy this game.

Makes me glad I didn’t buy it after all. They should be more careful when they spew so much hatred. It will turn against them.
