with mass effect 2, will you get a cd key to activate on steam?
Gotten into the habit of backing up my 360 games on steam when they are cheap (recent bioshock sale on steam was a bargain)
Not on Steam, no. It’s from EA Downloader, which is fine, but certainly not preferable to Steam.
Nice one! Almost ordered this last night for £12.99 but wanted to get it before the end of the month for the free copy of Mass Effect 2.
On a side note, I seem to have problems with mixed orders from Play. I tried to order this and an 8GB Sandisk memory card but the shopping basket kept on adding/removing two of each before checking out. In the end I just made two separate orders, but I don’t know if anyone else has come across this – using the Chrome browser by the way.
Almost tempting still going to wait on the goty edition due to all the DLC I won’t get in this
I’m a bit confused with the end-of-month deadline on this one … If I order it today but have it delivered late (often happened to me with play.com) after the deadline, will I miss the ME2 offer ?
That is correct. You will not be able to activate your DA2 content in time to register for ME2.
This is two separate offers from different vendors, that just happen to be combinable (if you meet the deadline).
Yeah tbh, I’d go for it (I have). I very much doubt that it’ll take more than 10 days to arrive – Play.com can take as many as 3 or even 4 days, but you’d have to be pretty unlucky for it to be much longer than that. Great deal, thanks Lewie.
I Agree it is an excellent deal. I might not make the deadline as I am not from UK and I fear the holidays might cause further delay, but that is besides the point.
I only intended to clarify the terms of the deal because Giom indicated that he was unsure of them. I in no way meant to belittle the deal and especially not the excellent work of Lewie, which have both saved me and cost me a fortune 😉 Thank you Lewie!
Thanks for the info ! I reckon it’s still a great deal without ME2, even though I wanted to play both games so this offer was killing two birds with one stone
(I am not in the UK, hence the hesitation about Play.com’s delivery time, they’ve always been honest as far as I’m concerned when games did not arrive or arrived very late but it happened quite often a while back)
If it arrives late, it might even be worth emailing Bioware/EA support and seeing if they will sort you out with ME2.
If it takes longer than that, and you’re not happy with just DA2 for a tenner, you can always return it.
Amazon are also selling this on the PC for £9.99 now
