Darksiders, PC – £5

I thought this was boring, ugly, and never very much fun. Some people liked it…

A lot of people liked it. Pretty solid game. Hard not to have fun with it.

Interesting, pretty, and lots of fun. =)

If you like Zelda games you will like this, though if you expect it to be better than Zelda you will be pretty disappointed. It pretty much strips out the overworld game (towns, oceans and stuff), and leaves a series of dungeons and bosses. It’s still a great game though.

Personally loved the hell out of this – and I’m a *real* picky gamer (I said ‘picky’!)…

The quality of the voice work, art work and direction alone are worth the admission price. Action/platform gaming with a very effective and satisfying combat engine (that you ‘level up’).

Quality atmosphere reminiscent of shaking up a bottle of Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver with a big splash of Zelda.

Runs 1280x720p @ 30ish fps on my core2duo 2.4ghz laptop with 9600m GPU – similar to how it runs on the 360 (to give an idea of minimum specs).

If any of that tickles your gamepad, jump right in.
[Plus on that note, a 360 gamepad is recommended over the mouse/keyboard]

I recommend checking Steam forums before buying, this seems to have some technical problems, probably depends on the graphics card.

It has some problems with the achievements but it is a really fun zelda-like game. Worth it

“I thought this was boring, ugly, and never very much fun” – seconded.
Likewise, I thought it was derivative and charmless.

i loved it. One of a few games that held my interest enough to finish it. Glad I did ’cause the ending was incredibly epic.
