This is the first time I have been compelled to post a comment, and the sole reason is because I would advise EVERYONE to save their money and not buy this game, no matter how cheap it is.
Well screw you guys, because I got it in the last sale, and really enjoyed it. Was nice to play a game with AAA polish in which the primary objective was to evade rather than shoot everything.
I loved Mirror’s Edge. The primary objective was evasion, true, but the game did not let you do that. I hated Mirror’s Edge. I have a complicated opinion of the game.
It’s heavily flawed, but definately worth getting just for the moments when it all works. I’d recommend it knowing you’re going to get a unique experience but with the caveat that it does suffer from a lot of issues.
While it’s true that ME didn’t go out of its way to facilitate evasion as its main gameplay mechanic, it was totally possible to play the game in evasive ways and not use the stupid shooter controls, ever. I tend to get unnecessarily rude when people (especially games journalists) insist that ME was “unplayable” without using the guns, which it clearly was not…
Amen dude I played through it first time trying to get the ‘no guns’ achievement on the Xbox and actually really enjoyed it
It’s a beautiful game, and the shooting isn’t so terrible either. I just wish the story part was longer, ’cause I don’t care about the time trials.
Don’t buy it. Short, mediocre.
Buy it, it’s good!
