Sneaky Sneaky: Beating Sam Fisher at his own game

Ok, so not quite. He is good at snapping necks and doing punches at bad dudes until they tell him what they know, but I have a few tricks up my sleeve too.

If you’d like to play the (apparently quite short) single player campaign of Splinter Cell: Conviction for next to nothing, follow this advice:

Buy Splinter Cell: Conviction from Amazon for £29.71 delivered (or go to Asda and buy it for the same price).

Then immediately go to CEX, where you can see that they are offering £29 cash for the game, or £33 credit. It is likely that the price that they are offering will go down in the next few days (although possibly not over the weekend), however if you process of the selling order now, you have 5 working days to get it to them, and you will get paid the current price.

Similarly, you could play the game real quick, and get Gamestation to pricematch + £1 CEX’s trade in offer, and probably get more than you paid for it back.

Don’t tell the frag dolls.

I did this with MW2 when CEX had it for £48 just before it came out. ‘Sold’ a couple to them a day or two prior to the launch and then quickly fired off a couple of the £25 copies from Morrisons. Paid for my PC version plus a nice ‘lil profit. They don’t seem to do quite such high prices now though funnily enough!!

    🙂

seems a lot of bother for £3

It’s more about playing the game for free/small gain.
