It is the GOTY edition, but the code has probably already been used. You could hassle gamestation about it (they don’t say that the code will be invalid) but you’d probably not get very far.
Update:
More like ‘Game of the fuck you customers’ edition
GOTY editions of COD4 regardless if they are new or second hand do not have map pack codes at all, its was a marketing ploy by Activision to get people to buy it in the first place, on the first few GOTY’s had codes. Still GAME and Gamestation still advertise there are codes in the case when it is false, I got a GOTY in January and there was no code and no extra maps on the disk either, I tried to return it but they stated the map codes were a promotion thats all and refused a refund. This is blatant false advertising and I had to explain this too someone else in a GAME shop who was complainng due to no codes either, the issue is also disscused on the Infinity Ward forums too were a dev/mod said it was just a promo too.
What the hell. That is pretty disgusting.
I know and with the whole debacle on MW2 dlc now and Activisions policy on dlc as a whole we may see a similar case with this years MW2 GOTY too, apparantly there needs to be a sticker on the box stating there is a map pack code within the box for people who want to contact Activision for a code, but I have seen none with a sticker on ever. Well the maps are supposed to be crap anyway and they are rarely played by players still today so that should be some constelation prize.
