I just double checked, and I’ve definitely still got all my games on it. Hmm…
I know that back when Spore came out, they only guaranteed your download for a year, and you could pay extra for “Download Protection” to extend that to, I think, 3 years.
“If your order contains downloadable software, you have 30 days to download your purchase. After you download we suggest you save a copy of the downloaded file on an external drive, CD, DVD, or some other storage medium in the event you have computer problems or the downloaded file becomes damaged or corrupt.”
Hmm. OK, so it seems that they used to only allow you to download stuff for a year after purchase, so you’d have to buy it again if you needed to reinstall it after a year. That appears to no-longer be the case.
Maybe that message referred to the information and links stored on the purchase confirmation page.
Anyway, it’s listed in the download manager now, and I’ve signed up to Cerberus.
If you change pages at the cart selection, you get asked why you dont fancy buying… pick any box and it takes you back to the basket with another 10% off, so its only £8.99…..
Apparently EA only serve your purchases for 30 days. Bit of a pain, since I bought ME2 for the PC I’ll be building after Christmas.
Where did you hear that? I’ve got a bunch of games that I’ve had on there for ages still available to me.
Spore from launch being the earliest.
Seemed to suggest it on the purchase confirmation page. I could be wrong. I rather hope I am.

They don’t do that any more.

Curious. Don’t know what to suggest, and I don’t know how long the coupon is active for either. Sorry.
Went ahead and bought it anyway.
