I’m guessing that all of the bugs on release, and no hard copy being available unless you pre-ordered have hit sales somewhat … otherwise, why have a sale this soon after launch?
Personally i wouldn’t say so; most of the major bugs have been covered by the patch, but i’ve had a lot more ctd’s after it installed. Its not definitively fixed yet, and they’re already talking about F1 2011. Unless you’re a big fan of F1, it might be better to wait for the next version
I quite like it to be honest and in DX11 it looks very good. One benefit of teh new patch is that I can now max everything and play at around 40FPS – dipped down to below 10FPS in some sections previously.
I’ve not had a CTD with the new patch – but there are a lot of people posting about the problem, so there is obviously something funky going on. In fairness, CTD’s will probably be fixed in a patch … if they are trying to build a strong brand they will need to fix these things.
In my opinion, I think it is worth £20. We need Geoff Cramond to come out of retirement to provide some competition …
