It’s basically just a Super Mario Bros. collection. The first one looks rubbish and second one is weird. The third is classic Mario, but… meh, I grew up with Sonic.
It would have been an essential purchase with the inclusion of those titles that Lewie mentioned. As it is, it appears to be near identical to the one that came out on the SNES/Super Famicom in the early 90s.
I guess this is a step up from lackadaisical approach Nintendo applied to its PAL virtual console games .
It’s actually worse than the version that came bundled with the SNES towards the end of it’s life, as it is missing Super Mario World
It’s simply the original version of All-Stars (which of course didn’t have Super Mario World), but some improvements would indeed have been appreciated.
I bought the original cart WITH Super Mario World for the SNES for less than this on ebay. Oh Nintendo.
You do get a bunch of bonus stuff, but it is crazy that there was a more comprehensive compilation of games released in 1994 than this one, and they’ve made loads of games since then.
Even enhanced remakes from All stars (1994) would have been nice. Or even better, the GBA versions. Or maybe just 60Hz versions. Oh I dont know anything but the original NES versions.
