I see GMG are back to their old tricks. The game costs €49.00 here in Ireland before the voucher. About €37.50 with the 25% off. That converts to about £29.00. Massive difference in price considering we are neighbors. So frustrating.
Maybe see if you can get a UK friend to buy it on your behalf? The keys will be region free (or at least Ireland and England will both be EU keys).
Would the often recommended hola unblocker work for this situation?
I suspect it would in theory, no experience of using it with this retailer myself though.
I’m going to give it a go and i’ll report back. I think GMG is pretty cunning though. I have a vague recollection of failing miserably to utilise a vpn on their site before. Hell I even got instantly banned from posting on their facebook page a few years ago for simply asking why there was such a difference in price between euro and pound…. I wasn’t being cheeky or anything… They are pretty sensitive about it.
Tried using Hola there. Set it to Great Britain and it seemed to work in that the price on the front page changed to £29.00 but as soon as you click into the product it changes back to €49.00. Might be because i’m logged in but I’ll be damned if i’m going to the trouble of making a new account.
It’s painful too because i’m actually going to be purchasing three copies. One for me and one each for my boys. I’ll get a deal somewhere.
