Update: I was mostly right about this. Nintendo did confirm that this will come in two different versions in the UK, but Amazon are yet to make any changes to their listing. They did however confirm over twitter that copies described as coming with Bayonetta 1 will indeed come with Bayonetta 1, so this definitely represents the best deal available right now.
I’m highly recommending that anyone who is interested in this offer should place an order immediately.
Amazon have got the cheapest price for this from a retailer that is specifically stating it includes the original game.
It seems that for the EU release, there are two versions of Bayonetta. A regular edition, and a Limited Edition. The Limited Edition includes the free copy of the original game, and thus has a PEGI rating of 18, whereas the regular edition does not include the original game, and thus has a PEGI rating of 16.
In Japan and the USA, all copies of Bayonetta 2 include the original game. My guess is that since Bayonetta 2 secured a PEGI rating of 16, lower than the original’s 18, they figured it would be beneficial to release two versions.
Many retailers have taken note of this announcement, and list the two separate versions, but it seems Amazon has not yet. The only listing Amazon do have is the standard edition (PEGI Rating 16), but in the description is says that it does include the original game.
More details of Bayonetta 2, perhaps including specifics of this promotion, will be broadcast on a Nintendo Direct tonight, perhaps Amazon are sitting on the new information until that has been broadcast.
My suggestion is to place an order from Amazon. It’s a great price, and it goes against Amazon’s customer service record to change an item’s description without offering a satisfactory solution for customers. Worst case scenario you can easily cancel the order before it ships.
I suspect Amazon will at some point soon list two version of this, but they will also honour the orders they have already taken.
I’m still kind of hoping for a bundle with the console. Is that definitely out of the question by now?

It’s worth mentioning that GAME has prices up for all 3 versions – game on it’s own is £32, the double-pack is £45, and the ‘special’ edition is £60, which just comes with an artbook. So the Amazon offering, if honoured, will be an excellent deal.
Amazon seem to have now removed the bayonetta 1 line.. lets see how they handle this for already existing orders..
So it looks like the listing has been updated, and I don’t see any mention of getting the original game.
That said, I don’t see any other editions listed on Amazon yet.
Does this mean that this will just be the single game, or is there something I can pursue with Amazon?
I just contacted their support and they told me that i will receive both games and if i don’t to contact them and they’ll give me the first one.
Yea, I contacted Amazon about this and they say they are “Looking into it”. And anyone who ordered it with the old description will be.. informed.

I have asked them to inform all of those who have ordered prior to the description change and am waiting on a response.
Emailed Amazon about this today, they advised I’d have to reorder to get the two games and that mass-communication to everyone with a preorder would be made available over the next few days.
Just had confirmation from Amazon customer services that they don’t intend to honour their original listing for me. If I want both versions then I need to “upgrade” to the “special edition” that includes both games.
I was assured that an email will be sent to all customers who have pre-ordered the game to confirm this decision by Amazon.
