Just a slight heads up for those new to the series: there’s no reason to get the Gold pack unless you absolutely must get EVERY game in a series.
X3:TC is essentially X3.5. Very little of the content in X3 is missing in TC, and what little is missing is part of a terrible plotline anyway. The games are more towards making your own fun. Don’t believe me? Try sitting through some cutscenes from X2 on youtube…
Plus the TC interface is miles better than X3, and makes the game vaguely playable without mods.
Thanks, I’m not too familiar with the series and had been wondering that myself.
of all the games, x3:r has the worst plot (which takes some doing!) and the least new content. I played it, and loved it, but I’m not planning on replaying it, whereas I might replay x2, and I’m in the middle of replaying the original. so… yeah
