2,100 Microsoft Points, Xbox 360 – £13.99

2100 Microsoft Points, Xbox 360 – £13.99

It’s labelled as a Minecraft promotion but they actually just give you an instant 2,100 points code. I have just tried it myself and it works.

Minecraft itself is only 1,600 points on Xbox Live.

Edit: This may no longer be working, will update if we have any more details. Order at your own risk.

Edit2: Appears to still be working as of 12:40.

Edit3: Game seem to be struggling with demand, some users are getting ‘goodwill gesture’ gifts 1200 points. See the comments for more (thank you commenters, we love you)

Bleh, just tried this. The email with the activation code didn’t actually have the code in it. Calling them now…

      Same here… currently on hold…

From their twitter it seems they are struggling with demand.

Same thing happened to me. Let me know how you get on!

Nice, apparently there’s some problem dishing out the codes at Microsoft’s end. They’re working on it, so I wouldn’t be too surprised if it turned out to be the game. They did send me a code for 1200 points to make up for it, although right now it seems like that may be having the same issue.

Good hold music too, I got some Dephic and Biffy Clyro. Would call again.

I got 1200 points as a “goodwill gesture” as well (which worked fine for me)

They sent a new code for the 1200 point goodwill gesture, so whether I end up with a code for the game or the points I think I’ve come out ahead on this one.

Hmmm, they’re taking their time with this email, what’s the holdup?

the game rather than the points for a while, but then stopped and lead to a busy afternoon on the Game support desk. Presumably it’ll be fixed on Microsoft’s working hours rather than Game’s. Game have been good about it though, I’d have been happy to have been told there was a problem and they were sorting it out.

Well that went wrong. Trying again:

I got an email with no code, did you get one of those or just no email so far? They might have stopped new orders from completing for now while they sort it out.

I’m starting to suspect the Microsoft code generating robot should have been giving out codes for the game rather the points for a while, but then stopped and lead to a busy afternoon on the Game support desk. Presumably it’ll be fixed on Microsoft’s working hours rather than Game’s. Game have been good about it though, I’d have been happy to have been told there was a problem and they were sorting it out.

Well, what eventually happened is I was being given an order confirmation and told I would receive a download code shortly. After an hour or so of waiting, I was sent another email saying my order has been cancelled.

In other words, they are having SERIOUS problems over there.
