Oh no, not yet another piece of digital distribution software on my computer… is this GameStop thing safe to install?

Aye, it should be fine. I think once you’ve got Crysis 2, Origin should be able to see you’ve bought it, and it will add it to your Origin account. In case you prefer to use Origin.

Ah……. once in the GameStop client (horrible thing), I found I could just ‘view product code’, which I then copied/pasted into Origin.

Dunno if anyone else is getting this, but halfway through my checkout it tells me suddenly that ‘This product is not available in your region, please remove it to checkout’.

I’ve emailed the people it tells me to email, so hopefully it’s just something that screwed up on my end.

    • Some people have said that paypal isn’t working in case that’s it. Also try using a credit card if you’re using a debit card (assuming you have one), or just a different card.

But you’re not the only one having problems.

After it did it the first time, it’s now not even letting me start to check out. Possibly they’ve flipped a region lock switch and rescinded the ability to buy using the deal in the UK?

SUSSED IT. For some reason, possibly due to the transfer to Gamestop from Impulse, my home region in my billing options was set to US, so when I tried to pay in GBP as suggested by my IP, it threw a fit, claiming I couldn’t buy it in my region.

Set the region in billing options to the correct ‘UK’ and everything went smoothly.

No matter what I do I get this is “not available in your region” when I use paypal and when I use Visa debit i get order cancelled once its finished processing. Im in the UK so this should work right?
