Well, the metacritic rating of 73 isn´t that bad. Haven´t played it yet, although I bought it. Then again I loved Return to Castle Wolfenstein and Wolfenstein:ET, so maybe this one´ll ruin the Wolfenstein franchise, but at this price I´ll give it a shot.
Don’t even try the awful multiplayer… but the singleplayer is great, I found it hugely enjoyable. The story is a direct sequel to 2001’s “Return to Castle Wolfenstein”, so you’ve got lots of Nazi-shooting with a mixture of supernatural and sci-fi elements. You go from sniping with a bolt-action rifle to vaporizing people with a particle cannon. And although it has some new elements like a town that your revisit in-between missions, the actual linear missions themselves are great “old skool” action, and it is a worthy sequel to RTCW. Much easier though, playing in on the “Hard” difficulty setting is like playing in “Normal” difficulty in old RTCW. And the fourth “Uber” difficulty setting “I am Death Incarnate” is actually identical to hard mode except you have no crosshair and so you need to use your ironsights more.
I had forgotten this existed probably give it a crack
Beware, the “Frantic Multiplayer Action” is completely dead.
Eurogamer review: “[…] it’s a wonky, glitchy and often idiotic game.”
Sounds about right for two-pound-fifty. ~ducks~
Yeah, I wasn’t so keen on it really.
