Amazon Black Friday Sale
Amazon are going to have lots of short-term reductions all week. If it’s anything like last year, you’re likely to struggle to get anything unless you are there when the deal goes live.
Here’s the Black Friday page.
They have video game deals going live at 2.30pm, 5.45pm and 6.30pm, and then future discounts throughout the week.
So begins the tradition of decoding the “cryptic” clues amazon offer…
They’ve improved the system this year, making it closer to the US counterpart.
This time, if you don’t get something before it goes, you can join a waitlist and see if anyone decides not to buy it. Any items left in baskets after 30 minutes are assigned to the waitlist on an orderly basis.
Assuming the servers can cope with the demand and don’t suffer from DoS as they did last year, you’ve got a better chance of coping with the gits who just hoard/’win’ offers.
Is it wrong that I hope that a list of all items and their discounts is “discovered” again?
Anyway this year is much better, I actually managed to get something! (Inception triple play).
Oh, and its driver for 3DS. I was hoping for need for Speed.
For some reason i hoped the last one would be Skyrim, but Xmen destiny made more sense. Terrible deals today.
I wonder if they’ll do something like last year where the last 2 things were a wii for £50 and a 360 for about £100. Needless to say they sold out in seconds.
This was horribly frustrating last year. It meant that play.com is my go-to online shop rather than amazon. I’m hugely reluctant to even try this year in case my blood pressures goes up dramatically.
