What games do you want me to look out for good prices on this Christmas?
Christmas is a time of year when the many retailers of the land reduce their prices to tempt you to send money their way. It’s also a time of year people might have presents to buy, and hints to drop to loved ones about presents they want for themselves.
I’m going to be doing my best to catalogue the best deals available, as always, but if there are any specific things that you’d like me to keep an eye out for discounts on, let me know in the comments and I will do my best to help you out. Make sure to include what format you are after with any game requests.
Then make sure you’re subscribed to SavyGamer (either by RSS or Twitter), and I’ll post the best deals for people’s request as I see them. It’ll be a Christmas miracle.
SKYRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIM.
On PC, preferably.
Well, I have this rare hope that Steam will release (at that crazy time) a sweet fine offer of Dead Island, but if wherever you are in a wild hunt in the savage lands of discounted games you see a fine offer, please, tell us :3
I second the Dead island request above!
Also, any good sales on Sonic Generations would be great.
I’m double dipping!
I’d appreciate any Alice: Madness Returns deals. That game seems to have stayed relatively high in price despite its apparently underwhelming sales :S
Oh, and for platforms, preferably PS3 deals for both.
Arkham City PC, Skyrim, Uncharted 3
Well it’s not actually for Christmas, but I’m really eager to find cheap copies of Mortal Kombat 9 – I saw the pcworld/currys entry you posted but there’re no copies near where I live – and Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 (both PS3). I’m actually emigrating to Korea for a job in three weeks and I’m trying to pick up all the PAL/English-language games I can to try and tide me over until I get back. Anyway, sorry for the long story, but if you see any more Mortal Kombat or UMvC3 deals I’d really appreciate you letting us know.
I hope a nice deal for Resistance 3 pops up somewhere.
Would love a good deal for retail copies of Dead Island (PC) and Red Orchestra 2.
Cave Story 3DS, never played it and full price is knida steep.
Saints row the third
Arkham City
Assassins creed revelations please
Did I post this, or is this someone who read my mind?
Arkham City, Dead Island and The Witcher 2. All for pc. Thanks!
Yes. could you please look out for Dead Island DD for PC?
Thank you in advance for doing work on our behalf!
Spider-man: Shatter Dimensions and Edge of Time for 360. The first was a great rental and I’d love it have to for a £15 sorta price. Anything cheaper than retail would be great for the newer game! Thanks very much.
Rayman Origins offers would be lovely.
You need to say which format.
Revision…
Skyrim + Saints Row 3rd
PC, of course…
Not terribly original, but here goes.
BF3
Arkham City
SKYRIIIIIIIIIIIIM
Saints Row: The third
oops. all on PC
The Witcher 2 and DoW2: Retribution are at the top of my list.
Might be a bit early for great deals on them, but I wouldn’t say no to Skyrim or LA Noire on PC for < £20
Starcraft 2: Wings of Liberty would be most appreciated by myself.
Arkham City for PC
Windows 7 please 🙂
You need to say which format 🙂
*Head Explodes*
The obvious ones really, such as Gears of War 3, Uncharted 3, Ico/Shadow of the Colossus, Resistance 3 etc
Rocksmith on 360/PS3/PC too would be a help.
I’d really appreciate a heads-up on sales on downloadable games for PC, specifically LIMBO and From Dust – I don’t want to pay what they’re currently priced on Steam.
Dear Santa,
For Christmas, I would like to gain real life Spiderman powers, and a race car.
Oh, and some sweet deals on the following games:
Dark Souls, Gears of War 3, Saint’s Row 3 – all for 360.
I promise to be good all year and share with my sister, etc.
– Jimmy
I’m most interested in Uncharted 3, Resistance 3 and CoD on PS3 (So I can shoot my family… damn their PClessness)
Already got my Skyrim preordered for £22.30. £35 on steam. Pfft.
Deus Ex Collector’s Edition
Deus Ex HR / Arkham City / Skyrim / Rage
PC (digital copy preferably) Cheap retail is also good.
I would have said SKYRIM, if not everybody else had already said SKYRIM. :p
So, ‘m particular interested in Heroes of Might and Magic VI instead.
Oh, I suck.
I forgot the platform. PC please.
Dear Savvy,
I would love to see a great deal on both Morrowind and Oblivion, with all the DLC on both.
Both for PC.
Cheers 🙂
Arkham City and Skyrim
PC or Xbox 360
Wireless Xbox 360 controller (Black) + the wireless adapter thing needed for it (stupid sonic generations and other games that pretty much require a controller).
Dead Island PC.
– PS3 Dual Shock 3
– Driver PS3
– Sonic Generations PC or PS3
– Need for Speed The Run PS3
– Rayman Origins PS3
PC:
Skyrim, Football Manager 2012, Sonic Generations, Arkham City, Witcher 2
Wii:
Xenoblade Chronicles, Zelda: Skyward Sword
any sort of cheap marps/ps3 points and Gears of War3 please for me!
I’d love – Zelda: SS and Xenoblade on Wii
Skyrim, Rage, Assassins Creed Revelations, Dodonpachi resurrection on 360
And I would be curious to play very cheap copies of – Duke nukem forever, Child of Eden, Orange Box, L4D:GOTY and New Vegas
PC mass effect 2 shadow broker dlc or a cheap deal on funny money in preparation for ME2 next year.
A cheap wii console deal as Santa will be bringing my kids one for Xmas.
DS or wii Lego star wars 3 or Harry Potters.
By funny money I mean whatever silly points EA/Bioware want to force me to buy their products in
L.A Noire on PC- I want this but I refuse to pay anything like the asking price on Steam thanks to Rockstar’s track record with PC releases.
Dear Sir,
Can you keep a look out for these games on the 360: –
Dead Space, NHL2K10, Saints Row 1 & 2, Gears of War 2, Mortal Kombat 9, Alice: Madness Returns, Sonic Generations, NHL11, UFC Undisputed 2010, RAGE, Batman: Arkham City, Dark Souls, The Gunstringer, WWE Smackdown Vs RAW 2011, Portal 2, Arcana Heart 3, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 1 & 2, Red Dead Redemption GOTY version, SEGA Mega Drive Ultimate Collection, Metro 2033, WWE: All Stars, Fable 3 and Dead Island.
Preferably “Brand New & Sealed”.
I’ve only recently found out about this site but I usually stalk Amazon, Amazon Warehouse, CEX and Gamestracker.
I’ve bought about 40 games for my 360 this year, I know I buy a lot but I also go through a lot of games when I’m on my holiday.
I would appreciate it if you can keep an eye out on the list please…..to see if the price for games become cheaper than their current prices.
I’m still kinda pissed off that Deus Ex: Human Revolution, which I pre-ordered has been reduced so much after it’s release, whereas, other games like Alice, Portal 2, MK9, L4D and Black Ops continue to still have high prices somewhat.
Thank you for all your help. =)
Legend of Zelda Skyward Sword (Wii),
the regular edition preferably please !
Infamous 2 with the controller would be a nice find, if you can. Either colour, doesn’t really bother me. Thanks a lot!
BF3, Skyrim, Diablo 3 and Starcraft 2.
Waiting for Dirt 3 to be 5 euro on steam… like Dirt 2 was last year 🙂
Also all the Race07 mods….great game for its age
Yakuza 4 would be nice. Thanks Lewie!
Well I am very interested in Hyperdimension Neptunia. Also interested in Uncharted 3 and Ico+ Shadow of the Colossus HD all for the PS3. Also any deals on 360’s as my brother just killed his. Thanks 😀
I’d appreciate it if you’d look out for offers on Mario Kart 7 for the 3DS, along with offers on the 3DS versions of Rayman Origins and Sonic Generations. Thanks.
I’d like to find a cheap Shadows of the Damned. I’m sure that is collecting dust with some retailers who want to get rid of it.
Xbox 360 version.
I’m surprised that hasn’t collapsed in price either.
Did you see this £15 deal though?
http://savygamer.co.uk/2011/09/07/shadows-of-the-damned-xbox-360-10/
I want to get the new zelda game on wii (as well as some already mentioned above) Other than that I want one of those odd yellow dancing robots. ha
With Christmas present purchasing looming if you could let me know the best prices to get a 3DS that’d be swell, (fine, title said game, but it’s close enough)
SKYRIM! plz plz bro ya
The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword (with, or without MotionPlus Wiimote)
‘Bout time there were some deals on Need For Speed Hot Pursuit and Shift 2 Unleashed for PC – heard they were reduced on Direct2Drive the other day but missed them, damnit!
Would prefer digital, but boxed is fine. Churrz.
Oh and Driver SF too 🙂
BF3 for PS3… all my friends ended up getting that version, whilst I got the PC version (via savvy via tescos for dirt cheap TYVM). PC is the better version, but I feel lonely!
Actually, I wouldn’t mind half an eye on World of Warcraft (PC *D) – I thought they might drop a fat discount since it was their anniversary. Actually, having typed that, I wonder if last time it was just before Cata that they did those digital deals where you could pick up everything for like $20?
Also, thanks for a super cheap year in PC gaming, I have picked up a load of retail bargains via your site that I could just stick into Steam :*)
Saints row the third, PC, Retail only for me.
Oh, and thanks for the site. I tend to always prefer getting boxed copies of things and it’s great to have a place that lists them all in one place, a massive time saver for me (that AssBro £5 deal was epic!)
I don’t know how regularly this happens, but in case Cryptic Comet / Vic Davis decide(s) to release coupons for their games (especially Solium Infernum!), but if you could have an eye on this, that would be great!
Thanks and a jolly Christmas time, Lewie!
I talked to Cryptic Comet, the next sale might (!) happen around summer next year. No need to keep your eyes peeled for this, but thanks anyways.
