Edit: Looks like amazon have removed the Augmented Edition on PC from their system for now. Hopefully it will come back at some point, perhaps at the same price.
Edit2: It keeps going in and out of stock, possibly as customers across Europe are discovering that it is region locked. If you’re after this at this price, I’d suggest checking back regularly.
Shows to me as non-existent, unfortunately. Does show the original price (£44.99) as crossed out, but no new price or way to buy.
Also, remember this will be region locked to the UK.

This is (at the least) the second time Amazon have added it at that price and then removed it in the past week!

I’ve already pre-ordered the runty edition from tesco for cheaper, but for this price, I’d have cancelled that and gone for the full-fat one. Let me know if it returns…

Your link worked for me at 12:30 – took me to the page where you normally see all the New & Used buying options, but the only option on there was for the Amazon one at the £24.97 price and it allowed me to pre-order and I have my confirmation!
Thanks for that – I’d previously been trying to get there through the normal product pages but it kept telling me the PC Augmented Edition was unavailable and redirecting to the standard version.
I must have got lucky as I used the link and can confirm that I have pre-ordered the Augmented Edition for £24.97!
Not sure why it is not working for all, although I did notice browsing the Amazon.co.uk site on my work PC (with a French proxy) linked the Aug. Ed. search result with the Limited Edition. I could not browse to it.

and its gone again, wish i would have ordered it back in the day from GAME, i surely wont order the worse collectors edition for freaking 90€…
After mailing me incorrect info, Amazon.co.uk rang me to say that Square Enix contacted them _in the last hour_ to inform of the region locking (which means anyone out the UK, including the rest of the EU/Ireland, cannot use their editions of the game). They advised me to cancel my pre-order and said they would be contacting all other customers. I imagine they’ll remove the game ’til they know exactly what advice they should put on the item description.

Excitingly, the offer keeps reappearing and then disappearing. I’ve watched it go through three cycles now. I managed to get an order in in one of those cycles. Remains to be seen if they’ll honour it, of course…
I preordered it from Amazon at this price back on the 2nd May, so they’ve been offering this deal at least that far back.
If Amazon have pulled the PC Augmented Edition over uncertainty over region locking of retail copies why haven’t they pull the Limited and Collectors Editions as well ?

Just pre-ordered at this price (13:10 GMT), it said there was 1 available so i paid went back and refreshed, now it’s gone!!! crazy lucky and also weird.
Nooo! They’ve taken it down (13.25 GMT)! The only thing that stopped me ordering DX:HR at the moment was I wanted the soundtrack but not at £35. Will keep refreshing until they let me order it!
13.30 GMT – They’ve updated the message to mention the region locking, but still not available. I’ve signed up to be emailed when it becomes available again. Hopefully soon and still at £25.

Is it possible that any of the different versions (maybe the really expensive limited one) won’t be region locked? That’s what Ubisoft does with some UK releases for PS3: the regular version of the latest Assassin’s Creed games has no multilanguage option (just English text and audio), but if you purchase the Black/White/Codex/Platinum version, it’s import-friendly as it includes all languages.

At the moment I have preorders for the Augmented Edition for £25.93 from WHSmith and the Limited Edition version from Amazon for £24.97.
I have managed to order this version for £24.97, but will keep my preorder open with WHSmith for the time being.
Might want to double check your WHSmith preorder… their DVDs/games entertainment arm doesn’t exist anymore…
You could be right. I can’t log in to their site any more and my e-mail address is no longer recognised.
My guess at what’s happening? People are cancelling pre-orders due to region lock, and Amazon’s posting them back up as and when they become available.

I did have this pre-ordered from Game (for 38 squid!) because I prevaricated too long and Amazon ran out – but just now was able to nab a pre-order from Amazon.

It seems the backlash from their customers going nuts has made Square Enix reconsider.
The Amazon page now says:

Please note: It was reported that Deus Ex on PC is region-locked to the UK only. Square Enix has confirmed that this is not the case. If you are ordering from outside of the UK, you will be able to play this on your PC. “
