which one of those cheap steam games are worth buying?
I played grand ages rome but thought that it was just a bad version of “king arthur” so i didnt like it that much
Commandos Pack is a brilliant deal at £2.99. Commandos 2 being the absolute highlight. Expect to be challenged, however.
Tropico is good fun but, perhaps, not as fun as it should be. Disciples III is enjoyable enough but in comparison to other games in its genre it does fall short; so a £4.99 it’s very tough to fully recommend.
I’ve not really played any of the others so will have to leave it to others to comment on those.
Personally I would say Patrician III and Tropico 3 fall under my category of relaxing games. I’ll play them once in a while, enjoy it but I also have no personal desire to finish them. So I’d say no obvious ‘must buys’ on the list – but certainly some worth a try games.
Darkstar One is decent fun. I mean, if you like that genre of game. It’s £2.50 in the Patricians and Merchants pack (Darkstar One, Patrician 3, plus a trashy game that isn’t worth playing).
Like the others said, Tropico 1 and the Commandos games are classics. I liked Tropico 2 Pirate Cove a lot. Cheesy theme, but fun and silly too.
Disciples 3 is okay for that price, if you like that style of turn-based Heroes of Might and Magic game. Dawn of Magic was a bit of a shitty, clumsy Diablo knockoff.
