Thanks for the link. Looks like a blast, but isn’t it strange no review copies are available to anybody?

Bethesda opted to not give out review copies until launch, for whatever reason.

They claimed it was because MP and SnapMap are an integral part of the experience, and those two things won’t run without a special server. And for some reason that server won’t be on until after release.
The fact that they easily turned it on for the MP beta’s but won’t turn it on to give people a chance to review the game before release, is reason enough for me to believe they’re not confident at all that the game will be well received. And I wouldn’t blame them, just look at how the MP beta got bashed by a lot of fans.
All in all, while I usually don’t use (professional) reviews to see if a game will be good, the fact that there are no review copies before release is a huge red flag for me.

Saw that – it’s moot now, and a lot of positive reviews are rolling in (but we have seen this before). Thanks for posting up the CDkeys link Lewie – my GF just bought it for me for my bday , so I’m a happy camper (but not ‘that’ kind of camper 🙂
The daft goat forgot to apply the coupon code…… groan.

Something to keep in mind for the future (as I’m guessing you’ve already redeemed the code) is that CDKeys are very helpful with refunds. I’ve gotten refunds for pre-orders that dropped in price between the time I ordered it and the release date, both full refunds and refunds of the price difference.

FYI to all: there are two codes when you buy this from CDKeys; one for the game, and the other for the DLC. Both are 15 characters each with spaces – I was nonplussed by this till i went ‘doh’.
