Mortal Kombat 9, Xbox 360 – £27.99 delivered

Gamestation are currently selling the 250gb Xbox 360 S for £149.99. A pretty good deal in it’s own right, but no better than what Amazon are offering at the moment.

However, unlike Amazon, Gamestation have a “Won’t be beaten on trade ins” policy.

If you have an old Xbox to trade in, you can get the best trade in price from another shop, and Gamestation will beat it by £1. You can get more money if you trade your Xbox in separately from the hard drive.

Here are current HMV trade prices for you to get them to match:
Xbox 360 Console – £70
20gb Hard Drive – £13
120gb Hard Drive – £24

I suggest showing Gamestation HMV’s prices with the free HMV Android or iOS app if you have an appropriate device. The staff might want to phone HMV though.

Sadly they don’t have the 60gb drive listed on their app. I’ll ask in store if I get a chance, and let me know if you find out. They’ll want the controller, power cable and AV wire, but you can keep any other accessories I think. You might want to keep the hard drive to transfer data, so you could trade it in afterwards instead. Or you could backup stuff to a USB pen drive. You’ll want to do the license transfer thing on your new console too.

So if you trade in an Xbox 360 and a 20gb Hard Drive, you’ll pay £64.99 to upgrade, and if you trade in an Xbox 360 and a 120gb Hard Drive, you’ll pay £54.99 to upgrade. Well worth it if your console is out of warranty I think.

They will also give you Fable 3 or Halo: Reach for a tenner when you’re buying a new console.

No idea when this offer expires, so don’t delay.
