Even if you have bad credit, there is one with a company called Aqua which you will almost certainly be accepted for. You may only get £250 as a credit limit but it’s enough for buying games from these deals (I’m a 20 y.o. student with student debt and only a part time job and I got accepted). Go to the link here: http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/travel/cheap-travel-money . It lists all options in a concise and easy to follow manner. Hope this helps.

It’s a shame you missed out, but hey these things happen in this crazy lil thing called life. Heck, I once had a friend who only had a maestro card so he asked me to order him a great deal on an even greater game using my visa, ’cause that’s the only payment method they’d accept ya see…Well, I was worried about a little charge, so I hesitated and decided to wait around – that was my mistake. My biggest regret, that fateful day. I think my friend is still alive, somewhere. I’ll never be invited to his funeral though.

Peace Out,
Black4000

Well, the deal has expired so no need to ponder the extra charges.

It depends on your bank I believe. I’m with RBS, and they’re pretty inconsistent. Their charge for foreign transactions is £1.50, but I’ve rarely actually been charged it.
One of the few times I was charged was from ordering from Amazon UK, so there you go.

Lewie suggests I may well be charged extra but how much extra are we talking? I could risk it but I’d rather not be charged an extra £5 or anything. I’ve hesitated buying things from the U.S site before but this is a damn good deal.

Thanks in advance.

This happened to me for a bit, on the actual check out page make sure the address on the bottom right is the US one you added and not your default one.

Bear in mind doing this will set the US one to be your default so change it back afterwards!

It should be fine as long as the billing address is within the US.

EDIT: mine worked with:

The University of Arizona
Tucson, AZ 85721
United States
Phone: (520) 621-3237
