Well if you are willing to than certainly in case of Borderlands it’s worth to waitl. You can be sure that there will be several DLC’s for the game and the publisher 2K Games like to put their games on sale days before releasing a new dlc . Second 2K Games has always been quick with putting their games on sale with discounts of 50, 75 and even 90% in a relative short amount of time.
At least that was my experience with Steamworks games like Civilization V, Mafia II, Bioshock.
If not at Black Friday then certainly during Christmas sale.
