I may have left the wrong impression perhaps, I don’t mean to make the game seem terrible. It’s still a good fun game, what little of it there is, it’s just not the big finale that ME2 deserved.

I probably should stress “in my personal opinion”.

ME2 had it’s few flaws but it was an amazing game, ME3 should have been twice as much so but it wasn’t. So many of your choices are never referenced or resolved, so many plots are just ignored alltogether, missions and info you got at points never matters, most alien worlds you go to are over in a flash and you never even get to go to Garrus’ homeworld (just the moon of it), Salarian world only has 1 mission on it and on Rannoch you never see more than the deserts and a few Geth outposts… the lore is sorely lacking in short. .. I could go on and on, as I’m quite a big ME’nerd.

Point being, it’s still a good fun game. The combat is more interesting than ME2, which is one of it’s few redeeming marks. There’s still a fair load of great conversations and some of the series most memorable characters. Perhaps one of my own complaints would be the game is too serious and morbid for it’s own good. In ME2 sure it was dark and grungy … but it lightened up at parts and let you have a breath, ME3 just keeps throwing sadness after sadness at you either in it’s plot or in the sense that you notice how much of the game is unfinished.

I still think you should buy it, just don’t get your hopes too high up. I paid £30 for mine in pre-order, I even bought 2 copies (one for a friend), I do feel I didn’t get what I paid for but I don’t regret it.

And I suppose, while it wont fix the other issues, BioWare is releasing a free addon to it sometime in the next few months that’ll apparently make the ending of the game better/renewed, so that’s something. The damage is still done and the game is cemented in history now, but it’s still something.

I know I may have rambled on a bit too much, but, well, I thought I should clarify for my own conscience sake xD

If you can get it for less than £10, awesome, do it. But if you get it for £15 or £17 or the other prices in that range, I don’t think it’s an issue either, but of course everyone has the right to their opinions and choices (something BioWare forgot with ME3 at several parts, but I digress), especially in regards to purchases.

Lets not make any huge assumptions though. I remember pre-ordering Batman: Arkham Asylum at £16 thanks to SavyGamer. PC Games have always been quite considerably cheaper and the prices often drop very quickly.

You’re absolutely right about the complaints about ME3, they’re well deserved, but lets not lose perspective :).

That’s really disappointing, I loved the first one so much, and the second one seemed like a worthy follow up. Guess I’ll wait for this to go into the sub £10 bracket then.

Believe me, the day 1 DLC is by far the least of reasons why ME3 should drop in price. Half the game is missing and the endings have gone down in gaming history as the most terrible in recent memory. There are a lot of reasons for this drop in price.

I’m betting that the Day one DLC just annoyed enough people to stint the sales. That is quite a massive drop.
