In reply to giant, fussy whingebag. Have a similar problem, my copy of New Vegas has been stuck at "Awaiting dispatch" since Friday as well. On the positive side, my copy of Just Cause 2 has arrived (nearly two weeks after ordering it and a week after they dispatched it) and my copy of Fallout 3 GotY has been dispatched yesterday, despite all three games being ordered at the same time (15th October). It's all leaving a bad taste in my mouth.

Scratch the “don’t take payment” bit. Still no despatch notice, but they have taken my money.

They’ll have to do something truly extraordinary to get me to shop there again…

My contribution to the Zavvi bashing: I ordered Lego Rock Band over a week ago, despatch date supposedly the 19th, only sent yesterday and they’ve managed to charge me twice for it days before it was actually posted!

They’ve apologised and sent me a 10% off voucher but we all know those aren’t exactly hard to come by of late… Don’t know what’s going on with them at the moment, never had problems in the past.

Ordered World in Conflict Complete Edition for £3 from ASDA, who’s entertainment section is also owned by The Hut Group I think. I ordered it when it was in stock, and it remained in stock for a day. Three weeks later they emailed me to say they’d cancelled the order, as they were out of stock and wouldn’t be getting any more.

Yeah, I’m being stuffed around too. My copy of New Vegas has apparently been sitting ‘Awaiting despatch’ since Friday, when it was supposed to arrive. This seems to be saying I have been allocated a copy, but they’re not sending it.

Are their warehouse staff on strike? No company would deliberately cause such a delay for so many customers without a reason, especially since they don’t take payment until the goods have been despatched.

What they need to do is communicate with their customers. Otherwise we will be reluctant to shop there again.

choicesuk.com are no better, I reserved Buzz! The Ultimate Music Quiz on the 5/10/10 (release date 22/10/10) got an email from them on the 21/10/10 saying:

“We are emailing you to let you know that we have experienced a delay with the delivery of the above item and are not now expecting supplies to arrive until tomorrow. ”

Haven’t heard anything from them since, emailed them yesterday (25/10/10) awaiting a reply.

Also I’m still waiting on thehut:

I had the same problem today. I bought two games with a discount voucher a couple of weeks ago, but after they sent me the first one, I found out that there was a more interesting edition of the second one so I’ve been trying to cancel it for the whole day to order the special edition, and they have denied it every time I tried. They are not sending the game yet, but they don’t want to cancel the order! WTF?!

My friend ordered 2 games at once a couple of weeks ago, one has already arrived, and the other has not been dispatched yet, despite the site saying that they’ll dispatch it within 3 days of the order date.

They suck, wont order from them again! I ordered Killing Floor they said it was in stock, then they said it wasn’t, then it was, and now finally dispatched 2 weeks later!!
