Are you sure GTA San Andreas is on Mac native? I’ve been looking for it everywhere and everyone else seems to think it’s not. Please tell me it’s true as it would be a dream come true.

I think it’s safe to assume HL2 series will be released very soon. The whole source engine was ported for Portal and you can use all the guns from HL2 (sv_cheats 1;impulse 101) with everything working normally. Only a mater of time I guess.

Would love to see Mass Effect series come to Mac but I doubt it.

They actually changed that. Now Steamplay licenses have retroactively been issued to anyone who had Civ4.

All games currently are Steamplay, but I will probably mark ones which aren’t in future.

is it worth marking out the games where, if you already bought it on steam for PC in the past, you DON’T get it on the mac unless you re-buy?

and on that note, has there been an “unexpected” game on the retroactively-get-it-on-both list? e.g. world of goo, both versions were written by the author, so you bought it once, you get it on both. civ4′s mac port was done by a different group, so you previously bought it, you need to buy it again (although new purchaes are cross-platform; presumably they did some sort of deal with the mac porters)

has there been any cases of games that the mac port was clearly done by an outside group, but previous owners didn’t have to re-buy?

Eve Online doesn’t seem to be on your list yet. I bought it on Steam for the PC, and I know there’s a Mac client, so I hope it gets a Mac Steam release.

Bear in mind that some of the ports that have yet to be released are non-Intel, such as Deus EX, so it’s not just a case of bunging them on Steam.

I really hope that Dragon Age Origins is released through Steam. I mean EA already ported it to OS X in December unceremoniously. Now is the time to release it along with DA: Awakening for $49.99.
